Eight years later, one acquisition, and two mega promotions, and suddenly I found myself in a company of 1,400 employees. I'd found what passes for success and stability, but bit by bit I'd lost that smile. I realised I missed working in a small company. I missed the energy and ingenuity everyone brings when you're trying to create something from nothing. I missed the agility and collaborative problem-solving. And I missed that shared understanding of what 'good' looks like that comes from working as a close-knit group.

So I started Square One to get back to what I love—only this time as a consultant and pen-for-hire. I'm offering my 20+ years’ experience of developing content and programmes that attract, engage, convert, and retain customers to help your startup, scaleup or SME examine where you are now, where you want to get to next, and the strategy and tactics you'll need to get you there.
